Dr. Sandy Newmark

An Alternative and Integrative Approach to ADHD
Dr. Newmark has extensive experience using an integrative and alternative approach to ADHD. He believes that each child with ADHD is unique, and deserves a complete individual evaluation. This includes looking at the whole child and his or her relationship to family, friends, school, and community.

The integrative approach to ADHD incorporates a wide variety of healing interventions, including diet and nutrition, and possible food sensitivities. Recommended alternative ADHD approaches might include herbal medications, nutritional supplements, EEG neurofeedback, craniosacral therapy, and other alternative modalities.

In keeping with the integrative approach to ADHD, we recognize that there are times when stimulants such as Ritalin are necessary. Even in those cases, alternative ADHD approaches may support the child and minimize the dose of medication or side-effects.
