Dr. Newmark's practice in Pediatric Integrative Medicine involves approaching each child as an individual, not just a child with a disease. Using integrative pediatrics, he will take the time, during a comprehensive intake, to get to know your child and family and to develop a treatment plan that emphasizes healing in the most gentle, effective, and least harmful ways possible. Dr. Newmark is personally trained and experienced in the areas of pediatric nutrition, nutritional and botanical supplements, and mind-body medicine, as well as 15 years in practice as a general pediatrician. He is able to make appropriate referrals to specialists in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Osteopathic manipulation, and other alternative therapies. At the Center for Pediatric Integrative Medicine, Dr. Newmark will also use conventional medications and treatments where they are indicated. Pediatric Integrative Medicine is a philosophy that neither rejects conventional medicine nor accepts alternative medicine uncritically. We combine the best of both conventional and alternative medicine. |
